⚙️ How it works

The system has two main parts:

1) Sense (measurement)

• A flow cell constantly samples pool water
• Sensors measure:
  • pH probe → acidity level
  • ORP probe → chlorine strength (sanitizing power)

2) Dispense (chemical control)

It can control:

• 🧂 Salt chlorinator output (more/less chlorine production)
• 🧪 Acid dosing pump (to lower pH)
• 🫧 CO₂ system (in some setups)

• Flow cell chamber (water sample loop)
• pH probe
• ORP probe
• Control module (HL-CHEM / AQL-CHEM)
• Injection control outputs (acid/chlorine systems)

⚠️ Real-world limitations

• ❌ Not fully “set and forget” (still needs calibration)
• ❌ Probes require cleaning and replacement over time
• ❌ Flow cell must maintain correct water flow or readings become wrong
• ❌ Can be expensive compared to manual testing
• ❌ Acid/CO₂ systems still require refills and maintenance
